This is the most hardcore router programming I've ever attempted. Of course, I hadn't planned on doing it tonight, but the only other router in the house took a dump earlier.
So far I've done the following:
I've set up a bridge of all the ports except port 12.
I've assigned that bridge the IP 192.168.0.1
I've set up a DHCP server on that bridge that successfully hands out addresses from 192.160.0.50-200
I've assigned Port 12 to be a DHCP client and get an IP from my cable modem.
I've set up a default gateway that allows me to ping from Port 12 onto the internet.
I've set up a NAT Masq with the Out. Interface pointing to Port 12
I'm missing something important, some way to get data from the inside ports to the internet, Firewall Rules? No mention of that in the guides I've seen.
Thanks!
