And while teens are optimistic that societal problems can be solved through invention and innovation, the Lemelson-MIT Invention Index raises questions about whether teens are interested in personally solving these problems.

This is the problem entirely. Many of the problems already have solutions. But people don't want to give up anything personally.

I've always liked the connections shows. Good stuff.

Well, the original series had a point to it.

It's difficult to sum up a ten parts, but I'll do what I can: People rely upon technology, but don't know much about it. They expect technology to solve their problems.

You'd get a immensely more out of actually watching the show. Even without the denouement, it's an interesting watch.
