Here's the situation:

I've got a 2940UW card in my WinXP computer (the bloody MSI....), and hooked to it a Seagate SCSI 318406LW 10k rpm 18GB boot drive.
I've also got, on my desk, a used 29160 SCSI card, with an old BIOS.

Now the question:
Would YOU take the trouble (say you're feeling lazy, just for the heck of it) of getting the latest BIOS for the 29160, put it on a floppy, turn your computer off (lots of broken downloads, would take hours to get up to speed again...), switch the controllers and then update the bios. Would it be that much faster it would be worth it?

It's the only drive on the controller.

PS if not, I'll just grab a beer and start looking at some movie...

Nothing at the moment, just feeling bored, and very tired.
The movie watching would be from that particular computer, so doing them all at the same time is not possible...

I am omnipresent
Use the old card. That single drive is a good match for its capabilities, and now you have a new card sitting around for some high-end drive you may purchase someday.

Thanks for your help. I'm on my second beer now, watching "the medallion" with Jackie Chan. :)

When will Seagate come out with their next X15? *drool-factor-warp-10*
