Has anybody taken the time to review Arctic Silver's instructions for mounting heat sinks?

I know I have done a few of their no no's... including cleaning off an old thermal pad with a citrus based cleaner... heating up a thermal pad to help ease removal.... and applying grease with my hands...
If it makes things better, I always cleaned the surfaces off with Isopropal alcohol or equivalent cleaner to make sure there was no dirt/oil/lint on the CPU or heatsink.
It was pretty interesting.. looks like they have made a sience out of applying grease.
