I was using OpenDNS but that service was actually interfering with the operation of my internal network (causing problems with connecting to my WHS to restore backups or run the console). So I decided to run my own DNS on the WHS box using Treewalk ( http://ntcanuck.com/ ). It seems to be doing the job.

I was thinking about adding Confetch to it to block unwanted junk. ( http://confetch.com/ ). Wondering if any of you guys have any experience running this software and or what you think of it?

Thanks,
C

I am omnipresent
I pretty much run my own DNS servers all over the place, but I don't see a reason to use anything besides bind or maybe the standard Windows DNS server.

Does Home Server not do DNS?

I don't know if WHS does DNS. I should check it. TreeWalk does use BIND IIRC though. Confetch seems to have some nice features that keeps ads and other 'dangers' away though. I would be interested to see what you experts think of it...
