Sorry for the short interruption. We upgraded to 2.0.14. Let me know if you find any problems.

Ever since you upgraded to 2.0.14, the bartender has been complaining that he's missing half of his keg supply. What did this update do? It was like an eraser to half his inventory!

Thanks for the help Buck, but the complete inventory is there, Handy didn't make any mistakes (I wouldn't expect him to make any). I actually wandered over to your bar Buck, it's woefully low on supplies. No wonder you come around here so much.

Since the upgrade, I've noticed that there is a slight (~1s or so) delay before SF will load for me. No other site experiences this delay. If I were to guess, I would suspect its a resolving of the DNS related issue. Anyone else notice this?

Thankfully this isn't like last year's intermittent "no can find" problem, as SF is always found...its just delayed.

I've noticed it on all my sites on this server, not just SF, and mostly from my work. It could be DNS related, but unfortunately I'm not an expert at DNS. I'm also starting to wonder if this server has become over-crowded again. If I could find an economical co-location provider, I'd build us a machine, but most want the same price as a dedicated solution. But the dedicated solutions have crappy hardware.

Also, I forgot to mention I did look around at phpbb.com, but I did not find anyone else complaining about a performance problem related to 2.0.14 (but that doesn't mean it isn't possible).

Your dns information would be cached anyway after the initial visit. So it shouldnt be a problem.

Incidentally I recently setup a phpbb forum and noticed a small delay when browsing to the site via IE... the same behavior is not exhibited on other browsers... and it is only noticed on the initial visit to the main page, browsing the forum is responsive as would be exected.

Closing the browser and going back to the main page results in the same behavior.

DNS lookups of storageforum.net have always taken unusually long for me so no, nothing's changed for me at least.

Correct, that is exactly what happens.

Its Firefox for me.

Sounds like phpbb can't be ruled out yet either.

Yes, but I'm sure the Bartender could provide ample reasons why that may just be :D
