Anyone know where to get these suckers in the United States?

I've found about a thousand places in Europe, South Africa, and New Zealand, but none in the United States.

Sad that the situation hasn't changed since Mar '03 when I first started looking. Somewhat inadvertently, I found them listed (both the HS and US) at a community college bookstore/computer shop, however, its too far out of the way for me to bother with unless I happened to be in the vicinity. I do note, however, that their website no longer lists the US, but still contains the HS....makes me wonder if they ever really did have the US.

On the flip side, I've been able to get Verbatim 8x DVD+R for a good long while now. Bizzare.

While we're grousing about media availability, everyplace on Earth with a "Technology" aisle seems to have one-or-another dual layer burner for sale.

But I have yet to see dual layer media in a retail setting, even in single-packs.

Whose dumb idea is that?!?

What is the deal here? Isn't there some company importing these, even if it's against Verbatim's will?
