Constantine has quietly slipped over the 1000-post mark. it seems. It's good to see my old friend of the small, small hours pass into the three-figure class, and I trust that his next 1000 posts will, like his first 1000 posts, be a lively mix of information, misinformation, opinion both plain and controversial, and most of all, that irrepressable sense of humour.

Well posted, Prof. Wizard!

Hmm... no need to. Where I work I'm free to take whatever I like home... its warehouses full of old machines and hardware, I'm bound to find a Barracuda or two, all I need is a canvas bag and beat him with it

Darling, there is a world of difference between being beaten to death with a Barracuda and suffering those same blows from a Micropolis drive. It's like the difference between dining at the best cafe in Paris and choking on a bone in your caviar on the one hand, and accidentally taking yourself out with the dustbin lid whilst fossicking for leftovers out the back of the Salvation Army hostel.

(And yes, caviar does have bones - it's baby fish, after all. It's just that they are very small.)

Well, hes leaving on Monday so I don't know if you'll have time :p

Anyway, I got a 120mb Caviar from work today, should be sufficient to beat him with, also a 1.6gb version as well as a couple of IBM DNES SCSI drives, which one will it be? You choose.

At least use the SCSI drive. You're sure you don't have any quality Micropolis products around anywhere?

You sure he's worth beating with a SCSI drive?

Hmm, there was an ancient Conner full height SCSI drive and a Seagate Hawk, but I didn't take them. The IBMs I can get many of as we dismantled a couple of SANs and each had 6 of them... hmm... should I do him a favour and use the IBMs?

OK, well, if he does call then I'll remember to bring them with me.
