WHY DID I EVER GO TO XP?

Thanks to Bucks help, I now have my P3 450 MHZ, school box home. It's running a Quantum LM, 512 MB of ram, and Windows 2000 Pro. I really forgot how neat an OS 2000 Pro is. I don't use any of the stuff in XP to speak of, and, the copy I have of 2000 supports dual processors. Not to mention 2003 Server is wonderful.

Anyone know what sort of planned obsolescence MSFT has in mind to get me to give up 2000? Game play, etc.?

Reportedly DirectX 10 will "require" Vista. If that doesn't matter, then 2000 (and 2003 Server) should be good for a several years yet.
