Here. I guess this is really nothing new. Vista will be a great impetus to move to Linux.

Sheesh, you're right Mark, sorry about that. I followed a link to get there, and didn't see the date; getting blind and inattentive in old age! Is this still happening, though? The main reason this is nesworthy is because MS insists it's not sending any data back other than patches already installed.

It was a big deal back then and if I remember my history correctly M$ admitted the practice and changed it so as to not send inappropiate data back.
