Wow. That does look really cool! Thanks Cliption. THe only problem I see with it is:

To prevent its use as a pirated operating system, WinPE automatically exits whatever shell it is running and reboots after 24 hours of continuous use.

Until that somehow get's 'fixed' I don't think it is too useful for folding. As soon as there is a workaround, I'll be giving it a try though!

I wonder if a HDD is required?

If you set up the folding directory on a share on a 24x7 computer(this is how I have it set at work) then the reboot will only affect the crunching for a minute. Yuo might be able to write a script to reset the clock every once and awhile.

You have to have the OEM Preinstallation Kit.
It is apparently a variation on building a custom install for XP.
