Well, the way ol' M$ was talking back during April/May was that it *could* be as late as 1/August.

However, from prior experience, I always took that sort of statement as being that it actually might be available as EARLY as 1/August. So, I have told many a folk since sometime back in April of this year that it would be 1/August.

After I told them 1/August, they would always say, "I heard it was 1/June." I would follow up with, "No you stupid twit! We're talking about Microsoft! They ALWAYS delay stuff!" Then they would say, "What's a twit?" Then I would say "Oh, it's programming paradigm." Then they would say, "What's a paradigm." Then I would pull out two US 10-cent pieces and show them, "This is a pair-a-dime!" Then they would say, "Is that anything like a pair-a-docks?" Then I would say, "Yes, but now you are talking boat language, you stupid twit."

Delays only help out M$, but there are limits to this approach. WinXP SP-2 was originally supposed to have been out in Q1 of 2003!

A palm reader told me it's going to be retail packaged as Windows XP Second Attempt.
