Hi, I'm looking for a book about my research. What are your suggestions for research on technology addiction and its impact on children? (eg continuously using a tablet or phone)
Look at the impacts of the industrial revolution in Europe and the US or more recently the mass adoption of TV in the mid-20th century. TV was supposed to dull the minds of the children, make them blind, etc. Then in the 70s and 80s it was video games, then computer games, etc. Cultures change and humans adapt, especially the youth. The older people have the greater challenges. As a student in the 1970s I read Future Shock. Maybe reading that will help you or just get over it.
