Yahoo email: Porn distribution galore

I signed up for a Yahoo email account, and, it to see how it worked, prior to getting gmail.

Ive found the amount of porn bulk trash pretty amazing(Mercutio might really like this feature :wink: )

I find at least 10, usually 15 or more, each day, just logging in. Usually the only email I have is a spoof email, trying to get me to give them access to my ebay account.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. In particular, parents with kids who want a free email account.

Anyone have a recommendation for such an account, other then gmail, that doesn't become a mess of porn links?

Yahoo has really lovely spam protection. You just have to turn it on.
Log in to Yahoo mail, go to options, Spam Protection and SpamGuard (I pay for Yahoo Mail, so I have Spamguard Plus, which is a learning filter).
Under Spamguard, choose "Immediately delete these messages upon receipt."

I have another Yahoo account that I use when I sign up for porn and torrenting sites, and once I turned "Immediately Delete" on, my spam levels on that most spammed of Yahoo accounts dropped to near nil.
