The guy reminds me of Paul Giamatti's character in Sideways... his voice twinged with patheticness and self-loathing as he demonstrates his expertise at a hobby that gives him pleasure and allows him to escape, but is also a source of frustration, as it rewards perfection. And underlying both "stories" is a sense that there will never be fulfillment through either of those two pursuits until they fix the parts of their lives that are their real barriers to happiness.

Humour, Mubs. Well, it's a how-to in Photoshop, sort of. You know the general style, you see the PS screen and all the actions taking place while someone mumbles on about what he is doing and how you can do it too .... the kicker is that it isn't really a Photoshop tutorial, it's a satire, the key element isn't what's taking place on screen with Photoshop, it's the subtext of narration by a loser who is obsessed with his ex-wife and her boyfriend and .....

Oh to hell with it. I need to think deep thoughts on an "almost poetic level" to describe it, and I'm not up to it this week.
