Intel Coffee Lake Another Rush Job

You seem confused. AMD rolled out their 300 series chipset well before Intel launched their own. The idiots, if idiots there are, are on Intel's marketing team.

    Something Random

Few people speak French in Toronto's area. It's in Ontario, Canada. It isn't in Québec. We have an office near Toronto and out of ~20 employees, only two are able to communicate in French and it isn't their main language.

Currently drinking a beer called La Vache Folle (the Crazy Cow). It's a milk stout. It's actually quite good.

Western Digital He12, 12 TB and 14 TB HDDs

BTW, locally, the SATA version of the Seagate Enterprise Capacity Helium 12TB drive is slightly cheaper than either the Barracuda Pro or the Ironwolf Pro at similar capacity. The choice seems obvious.

Your link works for me. It must be an accident.

What Makes Fiber Optic Cables Better Than Copper Cables?

305U$ for a 16-port SFP+ switch from Latvia. Stock too. Microtik's transceivers are also quite affordable. I linked it in the Home NAS thread a few weeks ago.

    Something Random

I'm quite sick of all the RGB light rage in computer components these days. Is it too much to ask from a computer that it doesn't look like a gay pride parad when it's on? Besides looks, it's a waste of energy for no useful purpose at all.

I wouldn't either. Use it as-is and then move on.

SSDs - State of the Product?

The 2.5" NVMe drives have been available for 2 or 3 years now. They are significantly cheaper than SAS SSD (although often faster), but don't expect consumer-like prices either. Expect ~1$/GB for the write-intensive models (Intel DC P4600, Micron 9100MAX, etc) and 0.50$-0.70$/GB for...

Email forwarding from dead email address

They own the domain name of your former e-mail. What were you expecting? If what you want to do was easily feasible, we would all be victims of man-in-the-middle hacks. E-mails wouldn't be even remotely reliable.

    Audio Equipment

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'll see what I can get locally* and at what price. * More often than not, Amazon.com doesn't ship to Québec and selection from Amazon.ca is more limited than the U$ version. Prices on the Canayan site are also higher, even after figuring out currency...
