OK Just got a 17.3"HP i5 8th generation, no ssd. Took nearly 45 minutes to boot, and to fill out all the crap between HP and MSFT. Laptop has a POS bayonet power supply, don't see much of anything for usb connection.

You might check out DeX, if you want a nice Samsung phone, and want to get rid of the tablet. Use DeX and plug it into a monitor, and you pretty much don't need the tablet.

Since 99% of the apps I use, or wanted to fill out don't work in Dex, I'm wondering if using the phone in mirror mode on the monitor might be the solution. Then I can use the keyboard to fill out apps and send messages that really are much better done with a keyboard then the phone.
