SSDs - State of the Product?

Now Merc will explain how WD sucks... I had to use an old Seagate drive from 2014 with the LAPD controller. It had 19000 horas before being taken out of the 5th gen Intel of Lendovo.

I do want to buy a used car

Of course they won't pay afterwards if they didn't pre-authorize it. Decades ago a car with no driver rolled downhill and out of a low-grade body shop (like MAAKO is today) and impacted me in my vehicle (I was trapped at a light and could not move). Of course they offered to fix the dent and...

I do want to buy a used car

Of course you don't work on a jack, but you need to jack the car onto the jack stands if you don't have a lift or inspection pit. You drove 600 miles with a damaged exhaust? The car place should still pay for negligence.

Spybot Anti-Deacon has gone whack. Now every time the FireFox starts it starts asking all sorts of questions, and if you skip all that stuff it does it again next time it is opened. The defect is caused by SpyBot 3.9. SpyBot 3.8 is fine.

Apple backwards compatibility is horrible. I know people that have three extra laptops or computers of various vintages to run older scanners, printers, software, etc. Fortunately we have Hamrick for scanners in Windows. The guy is a genius. I don't know if anyone has reverse engineered printers.

    Mirrorless Cameras (MILC) and Lenses

Do it, do it, do it. :D The RF 24-105/4 is good enough for what it is and much better than the old EF lenses, but not what I would use for large apertures. I would never walk around with a camera and lens in the open.

Working on a dirty old vehicle is not my idea of satisfaction, unless it is a 60s-early 70s classic being restored. ;) IME if you have a low-value daily driver, then finding a good, honest, local shop that will work at decent rates is really useful.

    Mirrorless Cameras (MILC) and Lenses

The D850 was much better than the Z7 back then and of course the D5 was the best if you could live with 20MP. I think you mean the RF 28-70/2. The Tamron loses 2/3 of that stop by 61mm and the full stop at 81mm, so at 70mm it's not practically any faster than an f/2.8 zoom. I rather wish they...

Part of the problem is that the laptop CPu is thermally limited so there is a compromise between using the P cores and using E cores to improve performance vs. reduce throttling.
