Heath insurance through my employer, for a family or individual, is $99 per month. I pay 100% of everything except for preventive car (basically a physical) until I hit the $3,500 deductible (for a family). At that point I have a 10% copay up to my $5,600 out of pocket maximum. If I were an...

My issue accessing the site from my work PC has been resolved. All I did is change some settings in Chrome to allow cookies (so I could used two-factor authentication for my google account without having to re-allow my PC every time I logged in). Maybe it is just coincidence but it's working...

Doug - Do you think your HTC phones dramatic drop in value is somewhat of a special case because of all the problems HTC has had over the years? I have done no research on it but it seems that HTC is being shunned by most. Naturally, getting it when it was brand spanking new at top MSRP didn't...

So I've moved to Lastpass and I'm liking it. The convenience is great and knowing that I have strong passwords on everything is reassuring. DD, have you considered any two factor authentication methods? I was looking at the yubikey but it seems like it might be a pita to use with a smart...

I'm thinking about taking the leap to a password manager. Cost is not a factor, within reason, but ease of use and security are important if course. The paid versions of Dashlane and Lastpass are on my shortlist. Anymore feedback on either? DD...what are your thoughts on Lastpass...

PC Gaming = World of Suck

I had Grid2 installed but it would not launch properly on my machine for some reason and I could not play it. Luckily Steam lets you get a refund, which I did. From what I read, the original is more fun anyway, if I remember correctly. I have to agree it is fun to play and for the price you...

Bought Mad Max for $15 on Steam from cdkeys.com I am totally loving it. Only about 1/2 hour in but already worth the money. Love how fast Steam's servers are too! I like getting games this way...not having to deal with media etc. http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/mad-max-pc

I score 10/10 when I have IPV6 support enabled on my router. I do currently disable IPV6, though, because I like to use the filtering capabilities of OpenDNS (their filtering does not work with IPV6 right now).

It's probably just what is called 'interruptable service'. For example, if I wanted to, I could have my AC unit placed on a separate meter that is controlled by the power company. During times of high load, they can turn it off (remotely) if they want to. For me giving the power company this...
