    Unreal Touranament 2003

The server Handruin created was named Handruin UT 2003. We shred the first blood handruin and meself. 8) It was a cool pure battle, let alone this uninvited bot named "Rampage"... The lag was high but I also had Kazaa and ICS running. Jeez, I can't wait the moment everybody is in...

    Unreal Touranament 2003

That would be amazing for signature C., have you ever considered it? One thing I love about UT ('99 and 2003) are the killing reportings... Let me show you one we'll see much too often... "Clocker's cranium is a little more crispy by Wizard's lightning..." :boom:

Sudden Interruption of Download: Can you explain it?

What about CuteFTP? I have v4.2 to reach my FTP space. And I've heard there was being developed a brand new v5... anyone knows?

Sudden Interruption of Download: Can you explain it?

Shouldn't be present a "Successful Download" signal at the end of complete FTP download transaction? This way all other abrupt terminations could be coined unsuccessful. You know this thing has serious implications if you don't know the size of the downloaded file. And not always the file size...

I know I know... anyway, already installed it. What about the "appointment"?

    Unreal Touranament 2003

What problems? Anyway I'm downloading it... Eh guys, are we creating that server to kill each other? What about tomorrow morning GMT? I don't have problems waking up at 6-7 AM if it is to kick Mercutio's butt hard with a sack of... plasma grenades! :twistd:

Broadband and download manager? Isn't it an overkill?! :-?

Sudden Interruption of Download: Can you explain it?

Yep: IE6. And in the past it has happened with IE5 as well. I think it's an EOF issue as Mercutio said. The thing is, if you don't know the exact size of the file you might think that you have downloaded it all and then when it's not working believe it was all a joke and NOT try again. The...

    Unreal Touranament 2003

The game is awesome... Many improvements over the original UT '99! Thanx C. Can we create a server and give an appointment to kick each other's ass? Mercutio, time, and CougTek will be just fine a little bit... evaporated! :cooler:

    Barracuda 5 SATA review

OK buy your Samsung and/or your top-notch (if you're so handy with lots of money, Will) WD/Maxtor drives and let me stick with the 1-year warranty Cudas... :)

    Barracuda 5 SATA review

Well Tea, if you find ONE producer that gives a good drive with a 3-year warranty then drop me a call to arrange it for you... :P Maxtor, Seagate, and WD together control more than 80% of the market. All three have passed to 1-year warranties regarding the IDE products, right? What about IBM?

    Barracuda 5 SATA review

Although I'm impressed with Barracuda's V performance in these legacy tests in respect to current generation drives, I refrain from talking cause the SR treating is still pending. By a first look the drive looks pretty impressive (, dear Mercutio)...

Sudden Interruption of Download: Can you explain it?

Have you ever tried to download something and it stopped before reaching the full length? I tried to download the UT2003 demo and the download interrupted at 25MB giving me the message of "Download Complete", although the full demo is almost 100MB. I tried again from another server and it...

    Western Digital - Warranty Change?

Then get a Cuda instead of wiping my arse. I don't really give a damn about the 1-2% difference in performance. But I would be really sorry to lose my current configuration because of a HDD failure. Seagate is great under this aspect. Quiet and deadly!

    Prescription Privileges for Psychologists

I think this poll so far was a success because it made us all think... :) Just yesterday that I checked it was 25% all four answers! I think our society is over-medicated as well. That's the point: most people think they are sick... they're not! They're just too lazy to get up after...

    Prescription Privileges for Psychologists

But Mercutio, the Psychiatrist is just another figure of the healthcare system. I don't know how you ended up getting advice directly by him, but trust me, the natural (orthodox) way of reaching him is after having exhausted all the "first" waves: Consulted your GP/FP... who would suggest seeing...

    Prescription Privileges for Psychologists

Well, this is true. And that's why PxP should NOT be given to psychologists. They have different roles in the therapeutic approach. Psychiatrists are MDs well aware of the human physiology and pathology of mental diseases so they can grasp the whole pharmaceutical treating with ALL its...

    Prescription Privileges for Psychologists

The "MD" title isn't panacea for your health problems. But trust me, Merc, Medicine as practiced in the USA although costly is far better and more efficient (even if not so cost-effective) than many other parts of the world... Probably only the UK or some Scandinavian country has a better...

    Prescription Privileges for Psychologists

Recent legislation in New Mexico will be allowing Px privileges to non-MD psychologists. Personally, and against the medical community, I believe it's a good move if it's done; but under stricter qualifications and ONLY for those psychologists who specialize in Clinical Psychology with...

    A more silent computer

Well, if you have some €600 to spend you could always get yourself a VapoChill and kiss your problems goodbye... I was always a little bit worried about the compressor noise but they say it's really quiet now. Oh, and then you can truly O/C your CPU to unprecedented levels... 8)

Noise while playing a DVD Video

I hear much static noise from the speakers (even in Pause). It's disturbing; I don't like it. Maybe it arises from the fact I have million devices and cables sprouting out of my box. Can I do anything about it?

    Why can't I see "www.army.mil"?

OK... now computer gurus of this world... enlighten me! :-? Two months later and I still can't access www.army.mil . Need advise on printer

Technology in printers (especially in software control) has advanced much the last 5 years. I would suggest you buy a new one. Are you happy with HP as a brand...? If yes, stick with it... meaning: buy the model of HP that meets your needs.

The coming end of Moore's law due to power dissipation

Exactly. I don't understand why people are always playing with these two terms: density and performance. Poor engineer Moore said only the first. Which is still fairly true for a 20+ years old theory.

News Section in front page: different "read" count

Since most of the news can be read without clicking the news itself (and counting it, in effect, as a "read") why don't we add a script to count as "read" the news entries that have their links pressed? Almost all news entries- as it should be- have their sources quoted in link-form so it will...
