Well, if that wasn't ironic... I AGREE 100%. In the beginning it will seem hilarious, but as the FAQ becomes big and strong it will grow to a real lighthouse!

    This is a riot

You just don't like success stories, do you? Well, I don't quite agree with you. First of all, 90% of all general users use versions of IE. This is not my personal statistics, I've seen many polls in sites (including Mandrake's, if I recall correctly, where IE wins... and a lot!). IE6...

    Build a FAQ

Guys... if we're to distant ourselves from SR, a move like this will be a serious blow for them... and will probably arouse sour remarks from Eugene/Davin cause they have already a similar FAQ... Although a terrific idea indeed, James, I wanted for some time now to propose to keep this forum...

    Search Engines and Frames

Thanks. I have a slightly different theory. Since a frame-based view of a site is essentially: different web pages opened in different frames, I presumed Google CAN'T see those different pages, although they all belong to O&O's homepage. For example: If O&O's homepage is made of two frames...

EBB's paranoia is almost legendary. (especially if it's true he went on to create a nick "LOST6200"...) However, this is unfair Tannin, have you read at SR's home page "SR Lives!"? Or you have a direct link to the forums? Eugene is here to stay...

Memory settings in Award BIOSes... tell me what to tweak!

Thanks Liam, I've tweaked all the settings except the CMD rate which I set to Auto. Unfortunately, Sandra 2002 shows me that it remained 2T. Since I've already got a 2-3% on its Memory Bandwidth benchmark without sacrificing stability, I'll play with it at a later time... :)

    Thinking about Med School

I don't think you can do that. Afterall, in the United States all medical students do have a BS/BA when applying to a med school, right? Med school should be at least 5 years. I think 4 years is too little in the USA. But then again, who can prove that American med graduates are not the best? :-?
  35. P

    Thinking about Med School

My doubts weren't about your intelligence or skills, Mercutio, they were about your will... if you believe you're strong to resist the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong path of the medical school (especially felt in the first and last year) then you can survive... I just hope you do the right...

    Thinking about Med School

As a med student just let me tell you that it's a really brave "thought" (I'm not saying decision yet)... How old are you? Well, it doesn't matter, but bear in mind that as you grow you want less and less to sit on a desk to learn preclinical (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, etc.) stuff...

    Microsoft Programming Languages

What I like about the new .NET Visual Studio packet is the seemless co-operation (according to Microsoft) of the various development tools. It says, for example, that you can actually write the core of the program in VB, one or two more complex components in VC++, and something else (eg. a web...

    Microsoft Programming Languages

Can Visual Basic access hardware? The most complex thing we might do (in co-operation with the department of electrical engineering) is connecting an EEG with the PC to study the spikes with a custom program. OK, I'm thinking to try my luck with Visual C#... Modern, powerful, flexible.... :) And there's a great number of books out there showing its tricks. Isn't that a median solution?! I need a language to create scientific/bio-informatics projects. Not too much complex or sophisticated, but I...
