I spent a fair bit of time on Sunday at CES listening to various headphones. Unfortunately many of the conditions were not ideal (noisy show floor). I really liked the Audeze LCD-4. I was less of a fan of their LCD-3, the LCD-X and the LCD-XC. The Sine and iSine didn't really light my fire...
So based on my research unless the seller listed the item's condition as "For parts / not working" the buyer is covered by the buyer eBay protections and can get their money back if it doesn't work. The This item is sold as-is with no warranty in the listing is basically irrelevant with a item...
Hmm... So most of the eBay listings for the Intel adapter say not to use it with Lenovo or HP laptops. like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/intel-dual-band-wireless-ac-7260HMW-WiFi-Bluetooth-4-0-PCIe-Half-Mini-Wifi-Card-/322372049570
This HP Elitebook I have was sold with the Intel 7260HMW...
How does that work for you? Are you treating it as a discrete 2nd wireless network with unique SSID and settings, or are all the settings the same and your relying on the device to connect to whichever one has a stronger signal? My understanding is that there's no way to have a device...
I swapped out my router yesterday for a different one and now my fileserver's hostname reports the wrong IPv4 address to other systems on the LAN. The server has a static IPv4 address. Rebooting the router yesterday fixed the issue for some number of hours, but now it's back.
I'm guessing...
Has anyone tried upgrading the WiFi adapter in a laptop?
Seems like it's just a matter of swapping out the old Intel HMC card for a different one. I've got a few laptops that are Wireless N (or older) that I'd like to change to AC. One HP and one Acer. It looks like I need to use an Intel...
Perhaps easier said than done.
I'm sure I don't have those lurking about. A reboot of the router seems to have fixed the issue. Now I have an unhappy Windows 8.1 box to fix that can't / won't contact Windows Update for the past few months. And of course the Windows Update repair tool says it...
I'm not sure I've settled on anything just yet. Right now I'm really upset with some misbehavior of my network. The master browser is misreporting the IP of my file server when I use it's network name. I'm trying to figure out which machine is the master browser.
I finally played around with the T-Mobile router today. I followed bootymonger's guide and it went smoothly. I've got it swapped in place (running the latest Merlin) replacing my Linksys E3000 (running Tomato) to see how it works / behaves.
Planar magnetic drivers don't really have an inherent sound signature. They have more of a lack of coloration of conventional drivers. I was referring more to whether you'd like the HE-560 or the LCD-2 with the sound signature comment. The HE-500 are a bit analytic somewhat like a studio...
Yes, the HE-560's should be very decent. I think it somewhat comes down to what sort of sound signature you prefer. I'm not sure if there are Head-Fi meets around you or any CanJam events where you could hear them and others.
Well, I guess the Askey Wi-Fi Router and the Asus TM-AC1900 are the same thing because I got the Asus, but the marking on the box also says it's a Askey Wi-Fi Router.
I haven't played with it yet.
UPS left it on my porch this morning. I saw it as I was leaving the house for work. I put the box in the garage, so I'll take a look at it when I get home.
I'm not sure what I'm going to find on my porch when I get home. I definitely bought the right thing from my T-mobile through the checkout process, but the order confirmation and shipping notice says I got an Askey Wi-Fi Router.
Edit: I'm not going to find anything. It turns out...
I'd suggest you find a different alternative if you're starting out. Apparently the author of xboot died unexpectedly a number of years ago. The last released version has some bugs. It's not open source so no one can carried on the work and older releases are not available. Since it's not...
I presume her job provides her with Office. AFAIK, JTR is a consultant / independent contractor. I wasn't going to presume he needed the real McCoy. I have Office 2003 on a number of computers at home because I got it through a Home Use program via a prior job that allowed installation on up...
I just want to know who is going to be the first to roll out a modern 5.25" half height drive with like 14 platters in it. They could probably get 25TB+ in one.
I had heard cash payers got discounts because the doctors didn't have to deal with the insurance and all the headaches. Besides, why don't you have insurance? It's required by law.
My LG VX-8600 is almost 10 years old, but still works fine. It's on it's 3rd or 4th battery though.
My G4 is only a year old, but is still working fine also.
Don't be so certain...
Besides, throwing money at a problem doesn't always fix it. User training might be more effective, but you're working with executives, so that's probably futile.
