The front page updates will be slow for the next few days...

Handruin took enough time away from his new game to let me sneak in a news item.

At least in comparison to the paragraph I linked above, my answer would be about 85% "No"

    What type are you?

It says I am a SJ. With at least 20 of those questions I didn't like either of the answers or felt the answers were diffcult to grasp the meaning of.

    KT333, KT400 questions

I should have mentioned that the 166 Mhz FSB is unofficial and also that you may need to bump your Vcore voltage to be able to achieve it.

    KT333, KT400 questions

The Epox 8K3A+ (KT333) that I'm running has a 1/5 divider that kicks in at 166Mhz FSB that puts the PCI and AGP busses at their spec values. Memory is also at 166Mhz. -Steve

Every little bit helps, of course. [Wishful Thinking] A few more Athlon XP powered rigs would really make a nice addition. At least one source calls them the best processor for folding. [/Wishful Thinking]

Has anyone seen an info-mercial for this?

It is for reasons like this that I am so content about not having television in my home since 1994.

You are all a lot of fakes!

Well that earned my laughter...No doubt about it. It couldn't much further away from what I really look like though. What a vivid imagination our little orange furred yard-ape has.

    News Categories

What I would like to see you guys hash out is where news items taken from other parts of the web should be placed. As I see it, if it has to do with computers and is considered news, it would go into the "Computer News" section. Regardless of where it came from. If it isn't news, but a modding...

Jason hasn't posted on SR for one week!

I made a rare visit to SR to check that thread for CNN Sport rants and was disappointed to find none. At this present time it looks like the post tally for the Pledge of Allegiance thread is at: #1 Jason = 26 #2 The Giver = 23 #3 Mercutio = 11 (I didn't bother with anyone else)

Beware! It's Groltz's invasion on the front page.

Ok, I see your concern... For instance, if you go and post 8 or 10 new news items on that page right now, all the stuff I dug up yesterday would get pushed off the page. Prematurely. The only solution I can see is to alter the page so it allows a more decent amount of news items to be listed...

Beware! It's Groltz's invasion on the front page.

No bickering from me. That tirade response to PW was all tongue-in-cheek. The one for Cougtek was a response to this, and was also only meant in fun. It is difficult to interpret the inflection behind words printed on a screen sometimes. I am still trying to figure out what, exactly, "What a...

So what are we getting at here? Don't submit more than X amount of articles in a given time frame? Just put up a teaser and don't submit the link to rest of the article? As far as worthiness goes, any news I submit has to be OK'ed by Mr. Cougtek, so the final authority does not rest with me...

Extremely subjective. Of that I am aware. To me, gaming through the glasses just was not as good as watching the monitor in normal style. Yes, the 3D effect was pronounced and quite effective...But GROLTZ NO LIKE. (Heh) Why, I am not entirely sure but I think it has to do with being used to...

    I started running again

Since I can't stand pounding my feet against the ground I went the machine route, running-wise. I also have a knee that is somewhat prone to injury so it made it that much more important not to put shocks through it. The downside of running on a machine (elliptical trainer, actually) is that...

How to Increase Your FAH Score(s)

Typically sinister thinking by Clocker. I'm not sure if that would work. I had forgotten about Soft FSB. I wonder how the machine would respond in bumping it from, say 100Mhz FSB back up to 167 while it is running. Somehow, I don't think I want to find out. The only things I do to...

I know that running it at 1.95 was on the high side but I had done some homework first and saw that some people had gone as high as 2.0 volts and more while OC'ing their Athlon XP's. Personally, I think 1.95 is too high to keep on a regular basis and run at 1.85 (or less) normally. The biggest...
