While Alkaline AAs are 1.5V all of the NiMH AAs I have only claim 1.2V "Typical". This makes a big difference.

You do not want the printer on the UPS because the power draw of a laser printer is exhorbitant. I also don't have my monitor on UPS for the same reason.

I use Firefox and Adaware on my computer. Haven't ever found anything other than cookies. For clients I install MS anti-spyware. They are usually too stubborn to try anything other than IE and too stingy for Adaware Pro.

That said you could always Ghost the drive in sector mode and try it.

I am pretty sure I have tried this with 3Ware before and it did not work. As with Maxburn I have had a similar experience with yet another brand controller (highpoint->via?).

Look on ebay for your battery. I'm a big fan of my LG VX6000. I'm on Verizon. I kinda feel bad for how badly I've abused it but it continues to work great. Work paid for a Motorola V265 which I dislike. Mostly I dislike how the software works.
