Another Digital Camera Thread - Point and Shoot

I still have an Oly C-4000, my first digital. 4MP, larger sensor than today's PnS digitals. V. good pic quality if there was sufficient light. At that time I panicked that SM cards would be discontinued and bought a truckload of them. THe whole stuff is in a box somewhere.

    Need a Printer

I bought it in the U.S. and brought it with me to India. India has been recycling things for the longest time - paper, glass, you name it. Cheap labor allows door-to-door collection and aggregation of old stuff. For what are considered durables, there is always a trade-in program when you buy...

    Need a Printer

That would add to the landfills. My DVD player died, and I paid to get it "fixed". The fix didn't stick; they told me at the shop not to bother coming back if it died again because it was on its last legs. I'm cringing now as to what to do with it.

I got all rebates I've ever sent in as well. Years ago, when they were a problem, I had to call in for a couple and resend (I always keep copies), and did get the rebates finally. Expecting $200 from Sandisk for some Extreme IV compactflash. My understanding is that the Extreme IV series is...

SAS: CARDS, ETC. WORTH THE MONEY?

Way back, I know I had problems installing programs in non-C drives. Since then, I've religiously installed Windows and programs on C.
