    Soltek SL-75DRV2 -- Failure?

Have I ever had an SL-75DRV2 fail? Nope. Must have sold a few now too. Fifty-odd, I guess. All working just fine. The Epox equivalent - I can never remember the model number - has been equally good.

    World Cup 2002

Actually, it's a cross between Gailic Football and Aussie Rules, Sol. But that's a really good point you raise. Why on earth isn't the World Cup played using the proper International Rules? I figure the Australian side would do pretty well. :)

News on the front page, not enough or too much?

Great idea, Flagreen. But don't think so small: why not translate the forums as well? Coug should be able to translate all our posts easily enough. Hell, I don't believe in making people work too hard, we will give him the whole weekend to get the Computers page done. Then he can start on the Pub.

K6-2 450 MHZ AMD: Compatibility problems???

Yup. Win 2000 should be no problem. I've certainly run NT 4.0 on a number of FIC VA-503+ boards (same chipset as your Epox, Clocker) without the slightest problem. My burner box at the office is a K6-III/450+ on a 503. 503s can be difficult with Win ME though. On the other hand, not working...

K6-2 450 MHZ AMD: Compatibility problems???

It all depends on the board, Greg. The CPUs themselves are just about bulletproof. If the board is VIA-based, you should be pretty right. The only real worry with the VIA chipset Super 7 boards is power to the video card. A TNT should be fine. A Gforce 1 or a pre Ti Gforce II can be problematic...

Funny you should say that at this particular moment, Syrob. :) For some reason I've always been a bit leery of Fujitsu drives, expect them to under-perform in real life use. I guess it's because of all those ultra-quiet but sluggish IDE things they made in 2GB to 10GB days. (Actually, I...
