Those are the ones I have, too. Now, I just looked, and for the R-series and the T60 but not the T61 or Tx00, DVI-D is not supported regardless of graphics chip. The newer guys in the T-series, it works just fine. I'm guessing it's the difference between a GMA945 and a GMA3100.

The good news is that it will be Friday, during the day. Great. Do you have any idea where I can park when I'm up there? Last time I went to a Cubs game I was about 11 years old and I think my dad paid like $25 to park in a vacant lot like 6 blocks from the stadium. This is a female type person who might very well be more clueless about this stuff...

    Font Wars: Microsoft Wins

We use Xerox solid ink printers to print our manuals in-house. A typical manual might be 100 - 250 pages long and has color on every page. I don't have the exact paper use right here in front of me but our costs for consumables are staggering. I've also advocated for PDF and/or an additional...

The GP just wanted me out of his office. No question about it. At this point I'd just like...

    Font Wars: Microsoft Wins

I did some math and figured out that my company would save about 3% annually on ink if we printed our manuals in Garamond rather than (sob) Comic Sans and almost 36% if we quit printing everything in color. Can I connect an EVDO modem to an existing network?

It would probably work as long as the routers were configured to use different networks (192.168.0.1/24 and 192.168.1.1/24 would be good), but every current data plan from a mobile provider (i.e. unless you're grandfathered in on an old plan) caps at either 200MB or 5GB a month. The whole point is to eliminate copper. If I get actual 1000Mbit, I'm looking at roughly 3x the throughput for network transfers vs. cat6. On the other hand, since I don't have any 64 bit PCI slots anyplace, it looks like cheap NICs are out of the question right now.
