Greg- I've read some really good stuff about the accuracy of the CZ75 when using 124g bullets. There's a good read about how the 124g 9mm is significantly better than the 115g when used in the CZ75 (and clones) because of the higher spin rate afforded by the (revolutionary at the time) 6 groove...

Maybe WD thinks that the buyer of a 'non-retail' drive actually knows wtf they are doing and has some computer hardware knowledge. In this case, there is less chance a drive will be returned to WD for one reason or another... I wonder if WD has a higher return rate (as a % of sales) for retail...

Yes but I don't think the difference is noticeable. I've run systems with the same board side by side and you can't tell. If you want to run benchmarks all day it might make a difference thought.... :lol: C

BTW: One really nice thing about the Aopen board I mentioned is that you can independently control the speed of your CPU fan and case fans either from within the BIOS or using the Windows utility provided. It really works great and let's you tune your fan speeds to your cooling and noise level...

Adcadet- I HIGHLY recommend this nForce2 Ultra board Aopen AK79D-400VN. I have built two systems (one is my own) and it has been flawless. At $71 it is a steal. I can't think of any reason not to go an Nforce2 route (especially Ultra). C

I'm just simplifing my PC set-up to see what IDE is like now. I bought a WD800JB from Blake a while back. Right now I'm running just that. I pulled the 29160, my 3 SCSI drives and the SBLive! from my system. THe single JB drive is a lot queiter than the 3 10K SCSI units. Of course, anything...
