Buy one of these: Sapphire ATI OEM RADEON 9500 128MB DDR BULK from Newegg (or similar) and use the software mod: http://www.maxdownloads.com/~ian/wizzard/ to get 9700 speed for the 9500 price. Works great. Make sure you get the red PCB version with the RAM in the shape of an 'L'.

I think the technology is interesting and applaud MSI's innovation. As long as it works reliably, I don't see a problem with it. I would expect that they would have announced it publicly later on after their testing was complete as the 'feature' would be a good market selling point. C

Well...an R9700 is a little on the pricey side for this 'gift' system. I'm looking for a part that comes with a passive sink installed from the factory and isn't over $100. I might be able to go a little higher depending on the performance of the card... C
