Well...I freaking give up....again. I got Samba running so I could see the Samba Server on the network but I could not log into it. I'm sure there is some cryptic POS file I need to modify but I just can't dael with that BS. I got VNC working so I could see the Linux Desktop on my WinXP...

WIth respect to file sharing....I only really need to allow the WinXP box to access files on the RedHat drive. Does that make my set-up easier? The Linux box doesn't need to access shares.... Thanks, C

Nope. Most of my programs and stuff are on my X15-36LP boot drive. The TEMP Files /PageFile / Internet Cache is on a 1GB partition on my 36GB Atlas 10K III. The rest of the dthat rive is used for loading games and other data. C

I just put my PF on a separate partition I created with PM 8.0. Works great and reduces disk fragmentation. I have my internet cache and Windows TEMP directories going to that little 1GB partition as well. C

They do that sometimes. That happened with my Fong Kai 320ATX a couple years ago. I was happy to get it though.... :-) C

No objection. If you are trying to connect to a game behind your router, I think you should use the machines local IP address rather than your WAN IP address. Everyone else will use the WAN IP. C
