    ATX desktops are bad

My solution to temp issues for the past few years is a full tower case even though all my stuff would fit into a midtower. Since it just sits under my desk, the extra height isn't really noticed.

    Nero Backup

So, I recently got a DVD burner (exchanged the Panasonic my bud got me for a Sony due to wider media compatibility, although I do now feel dirty with a Sony). It came with Nero-this and Nero-that, which included Nero backup. Does anybody have experience with this product? Is it worth it? Is...

    Shared online calendar

In many of the hospitals I have some web access. Some block certain sites. On rotations I use my Palm to keep my schedule (appointments/meetings/call days, etc) so it's easiest for me if my Palm can sync to whatever system we're using.

    Shared online calendar

My wife and I need a decent calendar system that lets us have our own calendar but also lets us see eachothers. Online is preferable. One that will sync with my Palm pilot would be nice, too. If we need to install software to our University-hosted webspace, we can do that - our space supports...

I'm so confused. Maybe I should stop studying over my Christmas vacation. Anyway, if I'm just burning data to be read in other PC DVD drives, should I be using DVD+R or DVD-R? They hold just about the exact same amount of info, correct? Will all PC DVD drives read both, or should I stick...

    Snow, I mean SNOW!

These days I'm taking the bus to the county hospital, so I'm exposed to the elements a bit. I actually prefer snow, since falling snow means its not incredibly cold. Plus, snow gives a bit of traction to walk on. The worst is a cold and windy day with icy sidewalks. That or a cold rain.

Great Clips, a cheap hair cutting place asks for a phone number to identify you. I don't know what else they use it for, but after getting it and bringing me back then say "a number 2 again?" so obviously they store my hair cutting preferences. No big deal, especially since my preference...

    Why Windows Causes Stupidity

IIRC Madden 2004 would not install on S2003 (or some other program), but I know Madden 2005 will (though performance sucked big time). I too was wondering if there was a way to change the OS identifier to read XP to avoid such problems. I never found the answer.
