In rough order of likelihood, I'd say the causes of WPEs are most often drivers - especially display drivers or real-mode network drivers, motherboard "issues" or bad RAM. Or, possibly that hard disk with the bad sectors. You're gonna replace that, right?

What's wrong with standard wire ties? When I want my cabling to look neat, I use 4" or 8" ties every 2 inches or something along the run of the cabling.
