They're more like $1 or $1.50 if you know where to buy them. I like HP Inkjets. Almost entirely because of the fact their printers keep paper horizontal, which I think is a much better mechanism than the top-feeders. Just noticed that Ghost v2003 supports writing (saved) images directly to NTFS-formatted drives. Symantec may be a crappy company in all other ways but that's really frickin' cool for a DOS program. Especially since it also does firewire, USB1.1 and 2, and CD/DVD-R/W out of the box, too.

IIRC FreeBSD uses UFS. The best answer I can think of is that you mount your UFS disk on a linux box and transfer all its data to something FAT32-ish.

Use a Linux install CD, and its fdisk, and all you have to do is change the partition number. You can exit the install at any time after that. You could also use one of the disk manufacturer's easy setup utilities to fix it, I think.

Mine are rev 3.1 and do not have network hardware. Of course I tried other things like switching PCI slots etc, and a Conexant PCI modem installed and worked in the machine with the NIC problems, so it's not as if PCI is just dead.

Coug, if you want package management that works, try Debian or a derivative. apt-get is just about as easy as things come in Linux. Personally, I download and compile sources for most of my stuff, mostly so I get a little bit better idea of how things work than just running rpm -Uvh.
