4k video playback: What do you really need?

Nonetheless, BluRay is dead.

Like with music, people are "good enough" with streaming their video.

The content providers want to suck money from the consumers on a continuous basis.
They don't want you to buy a disc and watch it many times over a multi-year period.

It's pretty hard not to want to have 4k content once you see it. Even upscaled Bluray, by the 4k TV's is pretty spectacular.
