AMD CPU Price Drops....When

It used to be fairly easy to find out when prices would be dropping on AMD/Intel chips. Now..I don't know where to look. Anybody know? I'm trying to plan a purchase....

I don't think there will be any official price cuts before Q1 03, but you might get lucky with a retailer clearing out inventory in the after-xmas/pre-New Year time period.

There probably won't be anything worthwhile until Clawhammer comes out, at least on the AMD side.

Barton with 512K L2 cache and 400MHz FSB frequency should be quite a competitor for Intel in the middle-end market. And personally, since the Athlon are way superior to the Pentium 4 in @home applications, they'll will remain my main choice for a while.
