A least for me

I set up two Raptors on an Intel D915 MB with built in RAID. They were set up in RAID 0.
When I ran ATTO, for the first time the scores went over 100 MB/Sec. Writes topped out at 117 MB/Sec and Reads were 99.8 MB/Sec. This is with 128k stripes and running XP Pro SP2.

Almost made coming to work today worthwhile....almost :wink:

Hmmm. I thought you were over 1000MB/sec. back in the 75GXP era, but that must have been Flagreen.

Have you increased the settings on ATTO so that the program isn't reading drive cache, etc.?

Total length was set to 32Meg. All other setting were default.

IN that case, those are REALLY good numbers. My Adaptec 2010S, card designed to raid 0 the two 320 channels on my supermicro only goes 45-80 on bursts.

The 320-1 Megaraid is about the same your doing, 100-120 mb/sec, with a dual Cheetah 15.3 36 gig boot drive.

I repeated the test using Server 2003, on the same hardware, and they were about the same. I wanted to try XP 64 bit but I ran into driver problems.
