I don't know if any of you have good experienced with this, but I have been searching for a good Bluetooth link from my TV to my hearing aids and/or headphones.

I've had a few over the years, and they were all somewhat flaky. The last one I got is no longer able to connect to my phone, and thence to my headphones or hearing aids, but I've had a few others over the years.

I've been searching, e. g., https://www.google.com/search?q=best+Bluetooth+Transmitters, and I found a usually reliable source, https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-bluetooth-audio-receivers-and-transmitters (may be behind a paywall).

But when I look at their recommended adapters' purchasers' reviews at online retail sources, they all have a somewhat high percentage of 0 ratings out of 5, saying that they never worked right, or failed fairly quickly after purchase. That's never a good sign.

Here's one such case, which happens to be the one that's screwed up for me recently:

I hope I can get a decent replacement that's not too exorbitantly expensive.

TIA.

Bluetooth audio hardware so very often seems to be disposable. I can see being mad about it. I buy a new pair of Soundpeats semi-wireless earbuds approximately annually because SOMETHING happens. I do know that my AVRs support bluetooth output but I've literally never used it. I'm not sure if it's a case of "best" as "agreeable ongoing replacement cost."

Thanks for the response, Merc.

I got an audio extension cord to be able to reach my headphones from my chair to the TV in my room without the cord hanging in the air, so I could go that route, but it's kind of a hassle because I have to take my hearing aids out to use the headphones. How 20ᵗʰ century. My wife wouldn't let me use that in the living room, though. "No More Wires!"

But I found yet another cute little BT adapter

online at our local BestBuy, so I might give that a shot, being fully prepared to return it.

"Purchases made Oct. 30 through Dec. 31 have an extended return period through Jan. 15, 2027."

(This device has the distinct claimed advantage that it's "Universal". Kind of like the food term "natural", i. e., meaningless. 😜)
