I'm getting the GF a new car stereo for her "new" car (1997 Ford Escort). I want it to support USB thumbdrives full of MP3s directly. Is there anything on the market that does this? I've been looking on Crutchfield and can't see anything promising.

This is the best I've found so far: Sony MEX-1GP

Giga Panel: The MEX-1GP features a detachable face with 1GB of built-in flash memory. Using the supplied USB cable, you can connect the Giga Panel to your computer and transfer MP3 and WMA files to the panel's internal memory. Your computer sees the panel as an external drive, allowing you to simply drag and drop the desired songs into memory. The flash memory can store a maximum of 200 folders and 500 files.
