I think the only wireless technology for eMac (colorful shitbox with a G4 inside) is bluetooth, but I'm not sure. The customer has cable modem. His PC is in the same room as the cable modem, but the eMac is on another floor and he needs to get internet access on it. Passing a cable through the floor is out of question (concrete floor).

Bluetooth devices are quite expensive I think. But I don't think 802.11a/g stuff is compatible with Macintosh boxes.

What's the cheapess way to do it?

Hey, Apple sells a card called AirPort Extreme that features 802.11g. I thought it wasn't available on Mac. Great.

Er, for the record, Apple has probably been THE champion of low-cost consumer-level wireless networking. AirPort hardware is very good and was a lot cheaper in the days before the likes of Dlink and Linksys got into the wireless market.
