HTPC upgrade:

Considering the following:

Here's what I've got so far:

Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67 ghz. 4,216 Passmark. That's about 8-9 times faster then my Athlon 3200+.

I've noticed with this setup a number of programs take advantage
of the massive amount of ram, so at least 4 GB of memory, and, I guess it will run 2200. That's about 180 for 4 gigs.
The processor is around 200, and,

I guess I would need a cpu cooler.

The Seasonic 500-550 should do the trick. Existing Burners, and
case, the 160.

I could use the Vertex Turbos to boot from, and I've already got them.

The 9600 Video card would work, since it's mainly a HTPC.

upgradeable later.

What do you think?

Use XP 64 Pro. Have a copy of it around.

Excellent speed boost, and good value?

Theproblem would finding a way to get it on the net, wireless, with 64 bit drivers...

Just a bit overkill for your build ;)

I've often been tempted to build a watercooled rig, just for the geekery of it. But really, watercooling is designed to get you better clock speeds. I've generally found it cheaper just to buy the faster chip (if such a thing exists).
