I have three laptops in my office right now.

On one of them, I was told that some of the keys on the keyboard don't work. All the keys on the keyboard are working, but the thing has so much spyware it's in the 15 minutes to start XP category.

On the second, I was told that it "has trouble connecting to wireless networks", which is true, in that it won't connect to wireless networks because the Windows Vista installation is apparently irreparably broken (and Vista, as far as I know, does not have an XP-style Repair install).

On the third, I have a handwritten note that says "It's broken pls fix." and nothing else. The machine doesn't power on at all.

Now, the facepalm part: None of these people left me their power cords, and two of them didn't even leave any contact info.

Sweet, the ones with no information must be "donations".

Nice ;)

I have bricks for just about every machine out there. The ones with the standard barrel connector are easy, and every once in a while a laptop is a write-off and I keep the power adapter.
