Title says it all. I only need managed for basic reporting and 2 VLans, so nothing major. I need Gigabit and at least 48 ports per switch, and I'll be getting 2 or 3 of them. The cheapest non Linksys/Netgear is the 3Com 3CBLSG48. Thoughts?

I am omnipresent
I've never needed to buy a 48 port switch for anyone where the cost for a Cisco setup was out of reach.

I have some 24-port Zyxel switches that have management functions and were quite inexpensive (so cheap that I didn't realize they were managed switches until I got them), but they don't make them in 48 port models.

I'm one for Cisco as well. But for a layer2 switch, HP and Adtran's offerings probably should also be considered if you're looking at 3com.

I've had mixed results with Dell's managed switches, but for what you've specified I think a switch from their layer2 line-up would work fine.
