It's a free (Open source) AV scanner with more options than the free (for personal or non-profit use) version of AVG. Seems like it updates faster, does a better job, is more configrable, and runs lighter compared to AVG...

ClamAV seems to have a lot of uses in conjunction with other products. Squid, Snort, several mail servers... It's a tribute to it's versatile design.

Well, I tell ya, I like good ol' AVG Free. It does it's thing and it doesn't cramp my style.
