Noisy, hot and...very fast. Beats the Atlas 15K and Cheetah 15K.3 in most benchmarks and is faster than all the other drives if you look at its average performances. A note for freaks looking for a storage device for their huge files : 78.6MB/s transfer rate - beginning, 64.1MB/s transfer rate - end.

I hope there won't be problems with its availability in North America and that it will arrive soon.

Still quieter tham the X15-36LP (which I don't find noisy). I wonder whether it is hitting some kind of bus limit at 80MB/sec? I take it they still run winXP with no patches? That could affect it to.

Eugene said that subjectively it is not as annoying as the WD Raptor.
