Galeon 1.2.8 and 1.3.2 released yesterday

You can get the stable (1.2.8) or development (1.3.2) from Galeon's website. No real press release about them, just a mention that you need at least Mozilla 1.3a in order to run them.

I hope Galeon 2.0 will come soon.

It always bugged me that Galeon needs Mozilla in order to function. You'd think they could strip the Gecko bits out of Moz and work from there...

yeah, i noticed that if i took out the old moz and put in 1.3a that galeon would often crash... It would be nice if galeon was a stand alone program.

What bugs me with this browser is that its creators are clueless enough not to provide any how-to guide on how to upgrade or install it. Or if they did, they hide it pretty well cause I still haven't found it. I had, like usual, errors when I tried to use the rpm, while there's no clear instructions on what to do with the shitty tarball.

The main problem with Linux is that people who develop for it are total morons concerning user support. I'm pissed.
