I have used AVG once last year, but I prefer Eset's NOD32. Back then, I used the trial version. Was not aware there was a free version. I'll try it, since it's free.

yes. I've been using the free version it for about 8 months now and have found it works great. I've installed it on all my family and friends PC's and none have had a virus problem since. it's saved me a lot of time :D

virus definitions are updated regularly at about 2-3 times a week, sometimes more. updates and scans can be automated and infected files handles in several different ways.
