Hey Gang - My wife and I are having our first child! We're due at the end of July. "Mom" and "Dad" are doing well and we're thrilled with the news.

Congratulations! My sister had hers last week, and our best friends had theirs two weeks ago. As a matter of fact, about 7 (70%?) of our friends have had kids in the last year.

Being a parent is a wonderful thing, (except my wife is currently complaining about being pregnant, and wants it over with - and she's only at 33 weeks now - but I do have to give it too her, as she is constantly looking after our 22mth old, which is tiring in itself).

In another forum a long-time member had a premature, defective one that died off after a few days. Everyone rallied around the grieving parent. There was much community support, though the reason sucked of course.
