On December 31, 2004, support for AVG 6.0 will be discontinued. All virus database updates, program updates, as well as technical support for the product will no longer be available after this date! In order to continue to be protected by AVG Anti-Virus, you must be using AVG 7.0.

Yep - 400+ PCs at my workplace will need doing over the next few weeks. The upgrade process does seem reasonably painless though (with the network version - just one reboot and a couple of minor updates), and hopefully the same will apply to the forthcoming Free version of 7.0 that Grisoft are planning to roll out.

The free version of 7 is already out.

AVG7 creates its own serial, you don't need to enter one. Some email clients need manual changes to port numbers.
