High quality inverters?

I'm having tons of problems with inverters, they are dying, killing equipment, killing batteries. Driving me nuts.

I only need about 300W, but want the best quality available. What would be your recommendations?

I've been pretty happy with my Shumacher battery charger and jump starter. It saw some regular use with my old car. Though your sensibilities may be offended as they can be found at Walmart and Target.

Their professional series inverters start at 1500W.

I have never used any inverters, But Tripp Light makes excellent equipment.

FWIW, I'd look for ones with pure sine wave output instead of a stepped sine wave approximation.
