Their Travelstar 80GN (is it GN? Anyway, it's something N) features a record-breaking capacity for laptop hard drives. Among the good points, it has an 8MB buffer. On the bad side though, it's only a 4200rpm unit, not a more respectable 5400rpm. IBM also talked about their plan to launch new performance-oriented hard drives for laptops featuring 7200rpm rotational speed.
